- Challenge
- Impact sells modern technology, but its website hadn’t changed in seven years.
- My part
- All the 3D: three characters and a room for each service, from modeling to physics and animation.
- Result
- They went into Impact’s redesigned website and are still live on impact.cl, more than two years later.
The problem
Impact sells software development, professional training and innovation services to other companies. Its website hadn’t changed in seven years, which is a hard look for a company selling modern technology.
What I did
01
Three characters
Impact’s services are hard to picture: software, training, innovation. Instead of stock photos, I gave the brand three characters named after what it promises its clients: Imagine, Impress and Impulse.
I did all the 3D myself: modeling, sculpting, texturing, rigging and animation, plus the particle trails and the physics simulations.
02
A room for each service
Each of Impact’s three service lines got its own isometric room, animated as a loop for the website: app and software development, professional training, and the innovation lab. The same teal glow ties all three to the new palette.
03
Two ways to innovate
Impact sells innovation in two flavors, so I made two holographic brains floating over the same base: one for creative design, one for systemic technology, each surrounded by the icons of its work.
04
3D with real people
For the rest of the site I mixed 3D objects with photographs of people, so the animations always had someone using them: an idea that lights up, a shared vision, a deal closed, a growth curve.
05
The new site
The characters and animations went into Impact’s redesigned website, with the new palette. More than two years later, they’re still live on impact.cl.
